Ecclesiastes 3:1-15

Trusting God's Timing

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven."

Life is a series of seasons—joy and sorrow, gain and loss, beginnings and endings. In Ecclesiastes 3:1-15, Solomon reminds us that God has appointed times for everything in our lives. We may not always understand why certain things happen, but we can trust that God is sovereign over every moment.
Sometimes, we long for seasons to change—waiting for healing, restoration, or a fresh start. Other times, we wish to hold on to moments of joy, fearing what the future might bring. But God calls us to rest in His perfect timing, knowing that He makes all things beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
This passage also teaches us to find contentment in the present. Instead of striving to control every outcome, we can embrace the work God has given us and find joy in His gifts (Ecclesiastes 3:12-13). The beauty of life is not in our ability to manipulate time but in trusting the One who holds time in His hands.
Today, whatever season you are in, trust that God is at work. He sees the full picture, even when we cannot. Surrender your worries to Him and walk in faith, knowing that His timing is always perfect.

Prayer: Lord, help me to trust Your timing in all things. Teach me to embrace each season with faith and gratitude, knowing that You are working everything for my good. Amen.
